  1. Hi DiAnn,
I didn’t vote for a particular movie. Hubby and I are movieholics. I have far too many favorites to pick one.

I was a bit surprised not to see The Greatest Story Ever Told. I could list my own 100 favorites but doubt I could ever pick #1.

    Thanks for doing this!

  2. I would have thought that “The Ten Commandments” would have made this list. For my part it and “GWTW” are two of the very greatest movies, maybe because I saw them in 4th grade and they made a very big impression on me?

  3. I’m usually a “Hey, everyone has an opinion and that’s okay” kind of guy. But for the sake of discussion (and the integrity of filmmaking), I am shocked that The Greatest Showman made this list. How can it possibly be considered equal to the likes of Casablanca, It’s a Wonderful Life, and the Wizard of Oz? The Greatest Showman had a very popular message, great visual effects, and outstanding choreography but the story development was weak, and the singing was average in most cases. I think if you were to conduct this poll again in 3 years, most of the list would remain the same, but no one will think of The Greatest Showman. That being said, “Hey, everyone has an opinion and that’s okay.” 🙂

On another note, I’ve never heard of the movie “Secondhand Lions” until this week. Now it’s come across my path twice. It seems like I’m supposed to watch this movie.

This was a fun post, DiAnn. Thanks so much.

    1. Hi Josh, You are right. The Greatest Showman is an amazing movie, but will it hold the test of time? In three years – God willing – I’ll reach out again to see the list of favorite movies. Thanks for your insight.
