I love this time of year, and it’s because I’m an autumn in every sense of the word. Love the rich oranges, browns, and golds. The scent of spices and baking goodies.

So I took a little time to decorate our home with those special colors. Unlike Christmas, I only have three plastic totes and a wreath box for Fall. It didn’t take long to place pumpkins, leaves, baskets, and orange and gold flowers all in my favorite colors.
First came the fireplace in the kitchen.

Then a sprinkle of orange on the kitchen table.

The delectable scent of pumpkin.

I couldn’t leave out my laundry room!

Neither could I neglect my living room.

Or dining room.

Gotta do something about the crooked candles!
Now I’m ready for you to step inside the Mills’ home. Coffee’s ready and the pumpkin cheesecake muffins are in the oven. If you stay for dinner, autumn squash soup is on the menu.

How about you? How do you celebrate fall?

Yes, DiAnn, I decorate like you do every part of the house & front porch. I love the holidays. I enjoy the falling leaves, apple cider, football games & lots of baking for everyone.
Hi Lois,
Although Houston’s temps were in the low 90s today. It’s still fall, and I can feel the excitement!
I LOVE fall! I love crunching through the leaves and collecting the colors to adorn my dining room table and refrigerator. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos. The place looks great!
Hi Victoria,
I appreciate your response! Sometimes I can smell high school football. That probably sounds weird, but it goes right along withe the cooler temps, crunchy leaves, apple cider, and lots of cookies!
I don’t decorate my house, but I do get the urge to make rich soups ( butternut squash soup is on the menu tomorrow after a trip to the fruit/ veggi stand this afternoon ) and loaves of home made sourdough bread, pumpkin muffins and apple pies. And I always have an urge to buy a new pair of shoes as soon as the leaves start turning, lol!
Oh, Nita, we are sisters! I love those rich soups. What time is dinner?
