By DiAnn Mills @DiAnnMills
I write romantic suspense, and I read the same genre. But the adventures of fiction reading transport me into other genres too.
Since the New Year, I’ve discovered amazing new novels, some written by writers who always deliver a powerful story with outstanding characters and other discoveries from new writers who are new to me.
Promoting other writers and their stories introduces you to an entertaining read. In January-2022, I decided to record video book recommendations by reading the first page and sharing those through Instagram posts and a “DiAnn’s Recommended Reads” Playlist on my YouTube Channel. When I enjoy a story, I want to share it with you.

Carol McClain, Treasured Lives, Book One: Borrowed Lives; Book Two, Prodigal Lives, due in late April from Elk Lake Publishers. Excellent foster care/adoption series with marvelous humor provided by frisky goats and a toddler who never met a stranger.
Thanks, Peggy!
Good morning:))
DiAnn, you would probably like “Mind Games” by Nancy Mehl. It is very good. She writes good Suspense
Thanks, Vondia, I will get Nancy’s book on my must-read list.
On a recent trip we listened to James Langston read The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper by Phaedra Patrick. Interesting premise and the lovely quirkiness the author is known for.
Nancy, that sounds good. Will add it to my must-read list.
