Author Spotlight! Colleen Coble

By DiAnn Mills @DiAnnMill

Welcome Suspense Writer Colleen Coble to this month’s author spotlight. Colleen and I have known each other since we entered the wonderful world of writing—over 25 years ago. I’d like to think we were mere girls . . . She is an incredible writer and always keeps me on the edge of my seat!

USA Today and Publishers Weekly best-selling author Colleen Coble’s novels have won or finaled in awardsranging from the Best Books of Indiana, the ACFW Carol Award, the Romance Writers of America RITA, the Holt Medallion, the Daphne du Maurier, National Readers’ Choice, and the Booksellers Best. She has over five million books in print. When she’s not writing, Colleen is playing Pokemon Go! with the family or traveling to the locales where she sets her novels. She’s a perpetual learner and a natural health nut. Colleen is CEO of American Christian Fiction Writers. She lives with her husband Dave in Indiana.

Colleen has a giveaway for you!

Storm Warning

When an invitation to a reunion of the storm chasing team arrives for meteorologist Randi Walker, it’s her chance to discover what really happened to wreck her engagement. She hasn’t seen her ex-fiancé since he mysteriously disappeared without a word their senior year of college. Randi is determined to find out why Brock Parker left two weeks before the wedding. But the gathering storm clouds might be more than they all bargained for.

There’s nothing better than having more insight into our favorite authors. So I asked Colleen a few questions.

Q: What is your favorite hobby?

A: Travel! I usually come away with new ideas for the next novel.

Q: Do you have a favorite genre?

A: My favorite genre is suspense of course! I also love disaster novels. Crazy I know!

Q: Any other special interests?

A: Natural health topics.

Q: What would you like to share with readers?

A: Fun fact: I came up with the idea for the Sanctuary series after a visit to Out of Africa, a wild animal refuge park in northern Arizona. And the little guys in the series are based on my little grandsons!

Don’t forget to check out Colleen and her books! I love your inspiration behind the Sanctuary series. We love our grandkids!

Thank you, Colleen, for sharing with readers.

  2. I’ve loved Colleen’s books as long as I’ve loved yours, and now I know why! You started your writing journeys at about the same time. It was fun getting to know Colleen a little more. And Storm Warning sounds like another winner!

  3. I fell in love with Colleen’s books when I purchased her first book for our book club. I have always loved suspense, and this one had me on the edge of my seat. 😊

  4. That sounds like a challenging book. I want to know why the guy left before the marriage, too. I had a guy do that to me in college. . .no answers either. But what a blessing he did. I married the right guy later on.

I love the idea of a sanctuary series. That intrigues me! I lived in Africa for a few months, but not on the wild animal side. I only had monkeys, camels, cows and snakes. I sure hope there are some elephant stories included in the series. Ooh and with grandkids included in the story. I do hope Colleen writes these books.

Thanks DiAnn for a fun interview. You always give us an adventure, even out of the pages!
