I’m thrilled to have been asked to teach during the 2024 Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference at the beautiful Ridgecrest Conference Center from Sunday, May 26, thru Thursday, May 30th – over the Memorial Day Weekend.
Here’s what I’ll be teaching in 2024:
Class Title: Writing Personal Tragedies with Grace

Surviving life’s challenges that threaten our physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing takes courage. To write about those experience forces the writer to explore painful emotions and relive the tragedy repeatedly. This project may be the hardest you’ve ever attempted, but it may also be your best writing. Learn how to ask yourself the hard questions and write the fiction or nonfiction manuscript destined to help others who have experienced the same crisis.

Class Title: How to Attract Book Clubs to You and Your Book
Class Type: Workshop
Class Description: Act I/II/III
Writers are magnets for book clubs, but what are the tips to draw them to the writer and the book? How does a writer entice the book club and ensure the experience is over the top fabulous? This workshop shows tried and true methods that I’ve used for over 20 years to find and keep book clubs returning for more.
