Each member bring a book that they would like to read and then we vote at that end of book club for our next read.

We dish out book ideas and look for reviews from social media. We are just friends that like to have a good time reading and we trade books among us.

At this point, as the Librarian/Facilitator, I choose the books the club reads from my own reading selections or those that are available to borrow as book club kits. The group has been meeting for 9 years (with 90% of the members being from the original group) so it gets more difficult to choose something…we try to read from a variety of genres, although CF and F are some of their favorites.

    About 15 ladies

I lead a ladies Christian fiction bookclub for my church. Although we have 15 members, usually about 10-12 make it each month. I select the book each month, trying to vary the genre between historical, contemporary, biblical, and suspense (we don’t do science fiction)

  5. I lead a book group for women of Open Heart Assembly in Farmington, Missouri. We also invite friends who don’t attend our church. We meet twice per month. The attendance has fallen off since covid but we have 11 members. The ladies let me choose the books! I try to rotate the genre so everyone gets their favorite eventually! We have discussion followed by prayer, refreshments and visiting.

  6. We have a monthly book club with 11 members. We rotate meetings at the members home and the host member picks the book for that month. We enjoy the discussions and have a snack. We also discuss other books we think the members might like to read. I love the variety of books we choose.

We are monthly book club that meets as part of a library program. We have 13 members that are on our list that actively attend book club. Plus, we have an additional 2 that are not attendees of book club but do like to stay informed of our reads for ideas for other book clubs they attend. Each month we have a member create a list of possible titles (4-6) for our next read. When we meet to discuss the current book, we review the list of potential book suggestions and vote. The title that has the most appeal becomes the new title to read. Rotating the selector ensures a variety of genres and authors are read by the group. Currently we are meeting in person, but during the height of COVID we met via Zoom.

I am in Port Huron, MI but our members are also in Jeddo, Marysville, and Saginaw!
    We have 4 members.
We don’t have a formal way to pick books. We just try to find stuff everyone wants to read – talking about it, making lists, etc. We have also tried having each person take turns picking a book, but is always Christian fiction.

  9. Leslie Storey, Arlington Texas

Our bookclub is called Who Picked This Book? We have 6 consistent members and sometimes a few extra.

We rotate how we choose our books. Each core member chooses a book and then we suggest books for certain categories. It works really well for us.

  10. Ginny Graham
    Pine Island, MN 55963

    7 to 12 members

We choose books by a Christian author portraying characters who give of themselves to others.

    We have 20 members
A member volunteers to choose a month to lead the book discussion and that member picks the title and the location we will meet. When we win a bundle of books like this one offered in the giveaway we distribute the titles first come first served at our next meeting and then add the book as a second title one to two months from when we get the copies.
