It’s that time of the year when high school and college seniors are taking steps into the future with graduation ceremonies. We want to honor them, but what gift ideas are meaningful and practical? We want a fun and useful gift, something different and exciting. But what?
When I received graduation announcements this year, I did a little research and this is what I learned.
My first stop was Pinterest. Make sure you’re logged in.
High school gift Ideas! From inspirational to just plain fun, and I wanted to do them all. Take a look at the cookies in the face of the grad.

And oh the party themes and food! Also more gift ideas.

College gift ideas! Really liked the board: “101 Secrets for your Twenties.”

Party themes sound like a hit. The mason jar centerpiece caught my attention.

Here are a few more suggestions for your special grad:
- Grads heading to college may need accessories for their dorm rooms, and those renting apartments will have lots of room to fill with furnishings.
- Luggage that fits your grads tastes is a smart move (pardon the pun).
- Grads heading off to work will have a list of items for the gift-giver—everything from apartment furnishings, appliances, to clothes.
- A new mobile phone will be greatly appreciated!
- New tablet or electronic devices are super gifts.
- What about a gift card from a grad’s favorite restaurant?
- Oh, if the grad has his/her own method of transportation, consider a gas gift card.
- According to USA today: bikes, noise-cancelling earphones, magazine subscriptions, and CASH. http://bit.ly/1j3nu2g
- Yes, as stated above, money is never out of style.
- This website had more gift ideas than I could list—for guys – http://bit.ly/1VCQJgd, for girls – http://bit.ly/1GPeXqQ
Of course I must mention books! A book by DiAnnMills in e-book or soft cover is sure to please. https://diannmills.com/books
